Selected Pilot Countries for Pilot Exercise

22 countries have been selected as pilot countries in the Joint Venture's Pilot Exercise. The purpose of this exercise is to field test the new, common methodology under different country conditions in order to improve the quality and the usefulness of the methodology and to support an improved policy dialogue between partner countries and their development partners about procurement reforms and capacity development.

In order to provide timely, coherent guidance and training to the pilot country assessors and to interested donor representatives (procurement specialists and development officers), three regional workshops are being organised in early in 2007 to provide training and orientation: 

  • 1-2 February - Nairobi, Kenya for Anglophone Africa pilot countries
  • 5-6 February - Jakarta, Indonesia for Asia pilot countries
  • 21-23 March - Yaoundé, Cameroon for Francophone Africa pilot countries
