2010 OECD SUBSCRIPTIONS PRICE LIST                 - Excel version -

The economic downturn is impacting library budgets and as the 2010 renewal season approaches, to assist libraries in maintaining their subscriptions, OECD Publishing has frozen prices for 2010.
The price freeze will apply to all Euro, US Dollar and Yen prices, but 2010 will necessarily reflect the fall in the value of Sterling, given that the Euro is the currency in which OECD costs are incurred. In order to alleviate the financial pressure, the OECD will absorb half of this exchange-rate impact and ask UK customers to cover the other half via a 15% price increase.

These prices will apply as from November 1st, 2009.

2009 OECD SUBSCRIPTIONS PRICE LIST                  - Excel version -

This year again we have decided not to apply the real exchange rate on our products which would have resulted in a 20% increase on our USD prices...

The principles that have guided the pricing exercise are the following:

  • Apply a higher increase to the currencies that have weakened against the euro, but not try to close the gap between currencies.
  • Apply a higher increase on subscription components (individual journals, databases, and theme packages) than on big packages (Books, Periodicals, Statistics) so that these ones are always better value.
  • Apply a higher rate on “print and online” subscriptions than on online-only subscriptions because printing and shipping cost are increasing.
  • Keep all price increases under 10%.

These prices will apply as from November 1st, 2008.
