Description (Aim & Needs):

Project aims at preventing overdebtness in families, and solving financial problems when existing.
Four work lines:
- Production and dissemination of a handbook, leaflets.
- Workshops on financial education.
- Personal and confidential counselling regarding any financial problem (debts, mortages, family budget, renegociation of loans, problems with banks...)
- Web site www.educacionfinanciera.es (includes training, information, advices, simulators, on line counselling, ...)


In 2007 WWB started being awared about the incoming financial problems of families.
The project in 2008 had 3 work areas (handbook, workshops and counselling). In 2008 the program reached and helped 1,007 families.
Those good results brought the possibility of having the project financed again by the Spanish Ministry.
2009 saw the launch of the web site, knowing that internet is one of the most powerful tools to disseminate information and help more and more families.

Assessment of Financial Literacy/Capability:

The accomplishment of this project lies on WWB´s team, who has carried out the project and developed all the different areas of the project.
