Biography of Mr Sarasin Viraphol: OECD Policy Dialogue on Aid for Trade

Dr. Sarasin Viraphol  is currently Executive Vice President (responsible for business development), Charoen Pokphand Group. The Thai multinational company operates businesses globally which include agribusiness, retailing and telecommunications. Prior to joining the business sector, Dr.Sarasin Viraphol served in Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, attaining the rank of Ambassador. He was also previously an assistant professor with Thailand’s Chulalongkorn University. Dr. Sarasin obtained his Ph.D from Harvard University. His academic interests include Asian studies, history and contemporary affairs.
