Macquarie bank group welcomes findings of OECD report on global infrastructure needs

Registration details

Journalists with a press card are invited to attend free of charge the OECD Forum 2007 on 14-15 May 2007 in Paris.

The Media Centre is equipped with phone outlets/Internet connection, Wi-Fi access, telephones, fax and photocopy machines. Also available are monitoring screens to allow journalists to follow any of the roundtable discussions from the Media Centre.

OECD staff will be on hand in the Media Centre to assist journalists and help set up interviews with speakers.

Launch of African Economic Outlook 2007

 

This joint African Development Bank/OECD Development Centre annual report shows that growth in Africa is sustained; the likely number of Millennium Development Goals to be met by country averages 2.4 out of the 9 in sub-Saharan Africa and 7.4 in Northern Africa. Economic policies, coherent strategies and good governance are making a difference, democracy is strengthening, though freedoms are still limited and corruption remains widespread. With Javier Santiso, Colm Foy, Celine Kauffmann, Lucia Wegner and Henri-Bernard Solignac Lecomte.
