OECD and Italian Government Announce 2008 Fellowship in Memory of Alessandro Di Battista

The Italian Government has generously established a fellowship in memory of the young Italian economist Alessandro Di Battista, who came from the Italian Ministry of Finance to work on tax analysis at the OECD and prematurely passed away in 2001. The fellowship is designed to allow a young Italian economist to be seconded to the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, to receive training, conduct research and acquire experience at the OECD.

Applicants: please submit a CV and a brief statement in English or French about the substantive topic that you would like to work on and the contribution that you expect to make to the work of the Centre for Tax Policy and Administration.  Please also include confirmation that your employer is willing to continue paying your basic salary, or that you will receive a student grant during the one-year programme.


The closing date for applications is 28 September 2007, and the selection procedure will be completed in October or early November. It is expected that the chosen Fellow will start at the OECD at the beginning of January 2008.
