Our main activities are:
 
OECD Forum:  The OECD Forum is a multi-stakeholder consultation that provides the opportunity for representatives of business, labour, civil society and the general public to discuss and debate with government ministers the key issues on the agenda of the OECD annual Ministerial Council Meeting, and thereby shape the outcome of Ministers' deliberations.
 
Partnerships:  The OECD has undertaken close consultation with civil society and parliamentarians since its creation in 1961. Initially co-operation with civil society took place with business and labour through BIAC and TUAC. Over the past decade, the OECD's dialogue and consultation with other elements of civil society, notably non-governmental organisations, has expanded dramatically. Co-operation with parliaments initially took place through the Council of Europe. But in the 1970s, co-operation was also launched with the Economic Committee of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly. Another tool for the OECD's openness towards both civil society and governments is the Visits programme.
