OECD Participation in UN Climate Change Conference in Bali

The OECD was present in several ways at the UN Climate Change Conference that took place from 3rd to 14th December in Bali, Indonesia.

• The Secretary-General made an official statement at the High Level Segment plenary on 14 December.
  
  
• OECD held a high-level Side Event, "Ensuring a Sound Economic Basis for the Post-2012 Climate Change Framework" on 12 December, chaired by the OECD Secretary-General. See the Programme, the press release and the Secretary-General's speech.
  
  
• New Policy Brief launched at COP13 Bali: "Climate Change: Meeting the Challenge to 2050".

• The Secretary-General Angel Gurría participated in the High Level Event on Climate Change for Ministers of Finance, hosted by Indonesia, on 11 December. See the Secretary-General's remarks.
  
  
• OECD & IEA secretariats held the Annex I Expert Group side event on 7 December 2007.
  
  
• International Transport Forum & OECD held a side event "Fuel Efficiency in Transport: Achieving the Potential", chaired by the ITF Secretary-General Jack Short. See the programme, the press release and the ITF Secretary General's speech.
  
  
• There was an OECD publications stand in the exhibit hall presenting just some the of the OECD's work on climate change. The International Energy Agency and the International Transport Forum also had publications' stands.
