Annual inflation in the OECD area at 3.4% in February 2008

01/04/2008 - Consumer prices in the OECD area rose by 3.4% in the year to February 2008 compared with 3.5% in the year to January 2008. On a monthly basis, the price level rose by 0.3% in February, compared with 0.2% in January.


Consumer prices for energy increased by 13.9% year-on-year in February, compared with a rise of 13.7% in January. Consumer prices for food were up by 4.9% year-on-year in February, compared with 5.1% in January. Excluding food and energy, consumer prices rose by 2.0% in the year to February, unchanged compared with January...etc.
