The Development Centre will present the AEO 2008 and LEO 2009 findings on education and skills development at the 3rd edition of the EC European Union Development Days 2008 to be held in Strasbourg on 15-17 November. The special session 'Better Education & Training - Creating Opportunities for the Young in Africa and Latin America' will take place on Monday 17 November at 12:30.
The session will start with two short presentations. The African Development Bank (Sibri Tapsoba, Head, Division for Tertiary Education, Science and Technology and Vocational Training) will present the findings of the AEO, and the Development Centre (Henri-Bernard Solignac-Lecomte, Head, Policy Dialogue and External Relations) will present the findings of the LEO. South African Ambassador and Chilean Ambassador to France Ms. Pilar Armanet, former Director for Higher Education at the Chilean Minsitry of Education, will then offer comments, before an open discussion with the audience. The session will be moderated by Enzo Conzato, European Commission delegate to the Development Assistance Committee.
