The Steering committee of the project discussed outcomes of the thematic studies carried out within the context of the SWAC's regional study on “Security implications of climate change in the Sahel” and agreed on the next phase of the project. Presentations focused on the cross-linking of the climate analysis with the security, socio-economic and geographic, and econometric analyses. This will lead to the production of a series of vulnerability and risks maps. The vulnerability maps as well as the thematic studies will be discussed at a technical workshop in Dakar on 17 November 2009. > learn more
