Experiences from the Regional Corporate Governance Roundtables

This report draws upon the experiences of the 25 meetings of the Corporate Governance Roundtables for Asia, Eurasia, Latin America, Russia and South East Europe to identify the major corporate governance issues faced by developing and emerging economies as well as potential solutions. It provides an overview of the state of corporate governance in the five regions covered by the Roundtables, the severe corporate governance challenges that countries often face, and the responses that have been implemented to date.  It also outlines the recommendations for further reform that have been developed in the Roundtables, and that are presented in more detail in the White Papers.  While substantial progress has been made, it is clear that significant work remains.
