Meeting with the OECD Secretary-General and Deputy Secretary-General
On 3 July 2008, Egypt’s Minister of State for Administrative Development, His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Darwish met with the OECD Secretary-General Mr. Angel Gurría and the OECD Deputy Secretary-General Mr. Aart De Geus. The meetings took place prior to the technical Steering Group Meeting of the Good Governance for Development (GfD) in Arab Countries Initiative, chaired by Dr. Darwish.
The government of Egypt plays a leading role in the Good Governance for Development in Arab Countries Initiative and hosted a number of regional and country-specific activities organised within the framework of the Initiative, most recently a regional capacity building seminar on administrative simplification.
