Corporate Governance in Asia

The Asian Roundtable on Corporate Governance (ARCG) serves as a regional hub for exchanging experiences and advancing the reform agenda on corporate governance. Established in 1999, the ARCG gathers the most prominent, active and influential policy makers, practitioners and experts on corporate governance in the region, from OECD countries and relevant international institutions. The overall goal of the ARCG is to assist decision-makers in their efforts to improve corporate governance in the region.

The White Paper on Corporate Governance in Asia

Since the 1997 financial crisis corporate governance in Asia became a key tool in the process of regaining investor confidence in Asia. Participants spent about three years to carry out a detailed inventory of weaknesses, challenges and solutions presented in the White Paper on Corporate Governance in Asia (2003). Since the White Paper was issued, the Roundtable has focused on specific corporate governance

aspects and the implementation of the White Paper recommendations.
