A renewed Working Party

The restructuring of the Working Party on Aid Effectiveness draws from:

• The Accra Agenda for Action – new challenges and priorities
• The Paris Declaration – some progress but much still to be done
• Other outputs of Accra High Level Forum (roundtable recommendations, plenary discussions)
• ...and what we learnt from the Third high Level Forum preparation process

Objectives

• To move from a working party to "the international partnership on aid effectiveness"

Extended membership

From 3 to 5 member categories:

• Countries receiving ODA
• Countries both receiving and providing assistance
• Countries reporting ODA to the DAC  (donors)
• Multilaterals
• CSOs, foundations,  local governments, parliaments
