In answer to a questionnaire developed by the Fisheries Secretariat of the OECD in 2004, ten OECD member countries have submitted country inventories to date.
These inventories enable a more detailed analysis of the economic, environmental and social effects of the transfer programmes than was previously possible from the report of one figure against a general category of transfer.
The work was part of the OECD Committee for Fisheries 2002-2005 Programme of Work.
