MENA Task Force on Corporate Governance of Banks

The MENA Task Force on Corporate Governance of Banks is working on a Policy Brief on corporate governance of banks in the region.  The Policy Brief will analyse existing frameworks and practices, and identify concrete steps for continuous improvement of bank governance.

The Task Force was established at a meeting of MENA-OECD Working Group 5 in Dubai on 27 November 2006 where key corporate governance initiatives on corporate governance of banks, state-owned enterprises and insolvency were agreed upon. These initiatives are being carried out in the framework of dedicated taskforces, which meet regularly in order to discuss and co-ordinate progress with the preparation of regional surveys and policy briefs on these topics.
