Department background

The Evaluation Department - Development Cooperation (EVAL) is an independent, specialised department with sole responsibility for programming, designing and over-seeing evaluations of Danish development cooperation. The department provides feedback to management and operational departments about development cooperation processes and results, and contributes to policy and strategy development in Danida.

All evaluations are published in order to provide evaluation results to the general public and political decision makers both to ensure accountability and to improve the understanding by the public of needs in partner countries.
