AIOS-OECD Conference on Private Pensions in Latin America

18-19 November 2002, San Salvador, El Salvador

The first AIOS-OECD Conference on Private Pensions in Latin America was held in San Salvador, El Salvador, on 18-19 November 2002. Itwas organised under the aegis of the OECD Centre for Co-operation with Non-Members.

The main purpose of this conference was to promote high-level policy dialogue on private pension issues in Latin America, with a view to exchanging experiences on the design and operation of private pension systems, including their regulatory and supervisory systems. Policies to promote the development of private pensions were assessed in relation to the international evidence.
