HATS: Meetings and activities

In September 2007, the OECD DAC engaged in a four-year work programme on health as a tracer sector, with the aim of providing supporting information on the Paris Declaration monitoring process, this work fell under the auspices of the WPEFF's Task Team on Health as a Tracer Sector.

TT HATS's small membership has enabled the group to be operational and output-oriented, with
senior technical participation from selected countries and organisations  and eight focused, decision
oriented meetings which took place at the OECD, Geneva and Mali.

TT HATS is a platform for selecting and organising knowledge and analysis generated by its members, it bridges the discussions on aid effectiveness at the sector level (in particular through the IHP+) and those with the broader group in charge of monitoring, reporting  and acting on aid effectiveness (WP EFF). The TT HATS uses a cross-cutting approach with a view to promoting aid effectiveness as a whole.

The TT HATS has produced two reports and as well as several other inputs to the WP EFF

The final report of the TT HATS further analyses some of the elements from the previous reports with additional perspectives on selected topics including ownership, alignment, innovative financing and BRICS and final recommendations for further progress.

The future of the TT HATS will be under discussion in the coming months.
