Joint OECD/US Business Conference on OECD Initiatives in International Taxation: Looking Ahead

5-6 June 2006
Ronald Reagan Building
Washington, DC

The OECD, the US Council for International Business (USCIB), and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee (BIAC), in cooperation with the International Fiscal Association (IFA), the National Foreign Trade Council (NFTC), and the Organization for International Investment (OFII), organised a conference on OECD initiatives in international taxation.  The event provided an opportunity for US business representatives and tax professionals to obtain the most up-to-date information on significant international tax projects currently underway at the OECD and to interact directly with key representatives from the OECD’s Centre for Tax Policy and Administration, including Jeffrey Owens (Director) and Mary Bennett (Head of the Tax Treaty, Transfer Pricing & Financial Transactions Division), as well as senior tax officials from the US and other OECD countries. The conference was the second of its kind, following upon a very successful initial conference held in Washington in early 2005.
