Biography of Mr Fabio Scacciavillani, GOIC: OECD Policy Dialogue on Aid for Trade

Dr. Fabio Scacciavillani is Acting Director of the Economic Analysis and Industrial Research Department (EAIR) at GOIC. This Department conducts theoretical and empirical research with a focus on the Middle East, particularly in areas such as economic forecasting, trade policies, development and industrial sector diversification. Previously he has worked for private institutions such as Goldman Sachs and Oxford Economic Forecasting, and has gained extensive experience in international institutions as a senior economist in the Research Directorate of the European Central Bank and in various Departments of the International Monetary Fund. He holds a Ph. D. in Economics from the University of Chicago and has published several papers in academic and technical journals.
