Official visit of the Secretary-General to Switzerland (6-7 March 2007)

During his official visit to Switzerland, OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría met with:

• Ms. Micheline CALMY-REY, President of the Confederation and Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs
• Mr. Pascal COUCHEPIN, Head of the Federal Department of the Interior
• Ms. Doris LEUTHARD, Head of the Federal Department of the Economy
• Mr. Gerold BÜHRE, President of Economiesuisse (Swiss Business Federation)
• Mr. Jean-Pierre ROTH, President of the Swiss National Bank
• Mr. Philipp HILDEBRAND, Vice President of the Swiss National Bank
• Mr. Thomas HELD, Director of Avenir Suisse
• Members of the Swiss parliament

Additionnally, Mr Gurría's speaking engagements during the visit included:

• A presentation entitled "The OECD and Developments in Latin America" to the Latin American Chamber of Commerce in Switzerland.
• A speech at a conference hosted by Avenir Suisse on the subject of The Shifting Power Equation: Implications for Smaller Countries.
