06/01/2006 - Moderate expansion lies ahead in the OECD area according to the latest composite leading indicators (CLIs). November data show relatively stable or accelerating performance in the CLI's six month rate of change in each of the major seven economies with the most positive signals in Germany and Japan.

The CLI for the OECD area rose by 0.7 point in November 2005 to 106.0 from 105.3 in October. Its six-month rate of change rose for the sixth consecutive month...
