Takashi Sukegawa

Analyst

 

Takashi Sukegawa joined the AHELO team in July 2008 as an analyst. He is also working on the Programme for International Assessment of Adult Competencies (PIAAC).

Prior to joining the OECD, Takashi worked for Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT) in Japan for eight years. For the last two years, Takashi was responsible for subsidies for private universities, and planned the reform of the subsidies. Before that, Takashi worked in the Special Needs Education Division of MEXT where he led the negotiation of a Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities from the viewpoint of the education of children with disabilities. He also coordinated international affairs (for example, service trade in WTO) in MEXT.

Takashi holds a Bachelor of Law from the University of Tokyo.
