Conference on Women Entrepreneurs and Social Innovation, Ljubljana, Slovenia, 9-10 December 2003

This seminar brought together Ministers, associations, women entrepreneurs and international experts. The main themes of the conference were:

  • cities programmes to promote women entrepreneurs;
  • incubators for women entrepreneurs;
  • innovative policies to better balance professional and family life;
  • projects in rural areas; and
  • training or specific financing programmes. 

Recommendations were proposed for the Second OECD SME Ministerial on 4-6 June 2004 in Istanbul and collaborative initiatives among the participants were launched. A publication will be prepared following the conference and so will new projects on women entrepreneurship.
