Conference on "Training Strategies for Regional Competitiveness and Inclusion Through Employment", Seoul, Korea, 12 October 2005
This event was jointly organised with the Korean Labour Institute, a LEED Partner. Korea is looking to transform its labour market policy as a tool to foster regional competitiveness and social cohesion. This conference shared LEED's expertise in this field to facilitate the adoption of models from abroad, such as area-based partnerships and decentralised frameworks. Conference on "New venture creation and entrepreneurial growth across borders: Integrating diversity of ideas, people and institutions", Cape Town, South Africa, 7-9 September 2005
This 5th International Entrepreneurship Forum Conference was jointly organised by the OECD LEED Programme and the University of Essex, member of the LEED Partners Club. European Day of the Entrepreneur in Zagreb, Croatia, 5-6 October 2004
Eurocities and the European Commission’s PAXIS programme have launched this pilot project to develop the concept of the European Day of the Entrepreneur (EDE) and to built on the experiences of the cities that organise entrepreneurial events at local level. Publication on "Local Governance for Promoting Employment: Comparing the Performance of Japan and Seven Countries"
This publication has just been released following the workshop on "Local Employment Development" organised in Tokyo, Japan, on February 9-10, 2005. This was a joint event of the LEED Programme and the Japan Institute for Labour Policy and Training (JILPT), member of the LEED Partners' Club.

"Slum Housing: A Crisis for the Urban Poor in the Developing World”
This is an online feature launched on September 10 by the Development Gateway related to Target 11 of the UN Millennium Development Goals—to significantly improve the lives of 100 million slum dwellers by 2020. The Urban Age Institute (LEED Partners) is actively implicated in this project.
