Country reports for the Anti-Corruption Network

 

The ACN carries out country examinations to assess the progress of participating countries in implementing recommendations endorsed under the Istanbul Anti-Corruption Action Plan.

The first round of monitoring was conducted between 2004 and 2007. Examinations were based on answers by governments to the monitoring questionnaire, and involved on-site visits by experts from the ACN countries. A second round of monitoring was launched in 2007 is ongoing.

The monitoring reports cover three main areas:

  • national anti-corruption policy and institutions
  • criminalisation of corruption and enforcement
  • prevention of corruption
