Conference on International Public/Private Partnerships for Innovation, Puerto Vallarta (Mexico)

Objectives

The objectives of the conference were:
i) Review and assess the experience of participating countries in the design and implementation of public/private partnerships as a means to foster innovation performance and industrial competitiveness;
ii) Examine the role that international public/private partnerships can play in broadening the international pool and diffusion of knowledge and facilitating technology transfers; and
iii) Identify the critical factors determining the success of domestic and international PP/Ps for innovation with a view to identifying good policy practices regarding institutional and financing arrangements, and programme management and evaluation.

Participants

The conference will bring together approximately around 100 participants from OECD and non-OECD countries, with particular representation from Latin America and APEC countries, as well as invited executives and experts from the public and private sector.

Venue: Camino Real Hotel, Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

Date: 2-3 December 2002.

Language: English and Spanish with simultaneous interpretation.
