AHELO - Get involved

The AHELO Stakeholders Consultative Group (SCG) was established to widen the circle of those involved in the feasibility study, dispel misconceptions concerning the purpose of AHELO and discuss the unfolding of the AHELO feasibility study. The SCG is not a research team but an informal group of organisations with a stake or interest in higher education quality. Members bring their practical experience to bear on the theoretical aspects of the feasibility study, signaling the hidden biases in promising methodologies or the irrelevance of certain data. They reflect on the potential impact of such an initiative, and suggest approaches by which students and faculty can be encouraged to commit to the assessment. A complete list of tasks is set out in the SCG Terms of Reference [link forthcoming].

The AHELO feasibility study is likely to discover much that is unrelated to learning outcomes. What these findings will reveal no one can say. But the chance is they may fundamentally change our thinking about higher education and its role in society.

If your institution is interested in taking part in the AHELO feasibility study, or you would like to be added to our mailing list for more information, please send an email to ahelo@oecd.org.
