Before the crisis hit, the economies of Ireland and the Slovak Republic had been growing by 5% annually since 1994, well above the OECD average of 2.6%.

 

 

In 2007, the OECD countries with the highest GDP per capita were Luxembourg, Norway, the United States and Ireland.

 

China produces over a third of the world's steel.
