Kurt Larsen is a Senior Education Specialist at the Knowledge for Development Program at the World Bank Institute. Kurt works on education, learning and innovation issues in the knowledge economy; including technical assistance to developing countries on their transition towards knowledge-based economies and delivery of training courses on the knowledge economy and post-basic education. He has more than 20 years experience as an education and research specialist at the OECD (Organization of Economic development and Cooperation) and in the Danish government including the Prime Minister’s Office.  He has written extensively and given many speeches on knowledge economy and knowledge management; internationalization and trade in higher education; ICT in post-secondary education and learning cities and regions.
