The Task Force on Public Financial Management (PFM) is a platform to discuss the results and proposals emerging from studies and initiatives undertaken by other organisations such as the Strategic Partnership for Africa (SPA), Public Expenditure and Financial Accountability programme (PEFA), the Collaborative Africa Budget Reform Initiative (CABRI), and the OECD network of budget officials.
Activities
The Task Force's 2010 programme includes:
- Practitioner's guide to using country systems
- Communications materials on the benefits of using country systems
- Map of current PFM diagnostics
- Practitioner's guide to strengthening PFM country systems
- Good practice note on sequencing PFM reform
- Good practice note on donor support to supreme audit institutions
- Good practice note on donor support to parliamentary oversight of the budget process
On completion, these products will be publicly available on this website.
Members
The Task Force is open to participants in the OECD DAC Working Party on Aid Effectiveness (including both members of the DAC, multilateral organisations, and partner countries) who have relevant expertise in the area of PFM. It is currently represented by over 40 countries and organisations.

Train 4 Dev: Train4Dev works actively with LenCD in designing and implementing joined learning events at country level. The Learning Network on Capacity Development (LenCD) is an informal network of analysts and practitioners aimed at creating a global community of practice around capacity development.
