Unemployment rates, employment to population ratios and labour force participation rates

Data are expressed as percentages. Download data broken down by sex and age groups or data broken down by educational attainment, sex and age.


Unemployment, employment, labour force and population of working age (15-64)

Data are expressed in thousands of persons. Download data broken down by sex and age groups or data broken down by educational attainment, sex and age.


Unemployment duration

Total unemployment is broken down by unemployment durations. For each unemployment duration, data are expressed in % of total unemployment (and are further broken down by sex and age groups) or in thousands of persons. Download data expressed as a percentage of total unemployment or in thousands of persons.
Also downloadable:  average unemployment duration, expressed in months.


Discouraged workers

Discouraged workers are persons who desire to work, but who are not in the labour force, believing that there is no work available due to various reasons. Data are expressed in % of labour force and % of total population (aged 15-64), or in thousands of persons. They are broken down by sex and age groups. Download data expressed as a percentage of labour force/population or in thousands of persons.
