STAVROS EL. KALOGIANNIS, Vice Minister for the Environment, Greece
Born in Ioannina, Greece, in 1961.
Graduated from the National Technical University of Patra, Greece, School of Civil Engineers.
Served the Greek army as a ranker engineer officer.
Post-graduate studies :
- Federal Technical University of Lausanne, title “Maitrise de Specialisation en Genie Urbain”
- Catholic Univesity of Louvain-la-Neuve (UCL), degree “Certificat en Administration des Enterprises”
During his post-graduate studies he was actively involved in the coordination and promotion of European Programmes, related to the Greek region of Ipiros.
Elected as :
- First Municipal Counselor in the town of Ioannina, Greek Municipal Elections of 1990.
- Member of the Greek Parliament (New Democracy Party, Prefecture of Ioannina), Greek Parliamentary Elections of April 2000.
- Member of the Greek Parliament (New Democracy Party, Prefecture of Ioannina), Greek Parliamentary Elections of March 2004.
Since the 10th of March 2004, he is Deputy Minister for the Environment, Physical Planning and Public Works, with responsibilities in the Environment and Physical Planning.
