Annual inflation increased to 2.8% in April 2005

31/05/2005 - Annual inflation in the OECD area was at 2.8% in April 2005, compared to 2.6% in March, but with differences across countries. Energy prices continued to increase rapidly (12.1% year-on-year in April compared with 9.4% in March). Excluding food and energy, the year-on-year increase in consumer prices was 1.9% in April, compared with 2% in March. Monthly inflation was at 0.5% from March to April, down from 0.6% from February to March...
