The public opinion survey institution Latinobarometro and the OECD Development Centre organised a joint seminar on Democracy and fiscal legitimacy in Latin America at the Maison de l'Amérique latine in Paris on May 29th, 2009. Marta Lagos, founding Director of Latinobarometro, presented the results of the last 2008 Latinobarometro survey, and Javier Santiso, Director of the OECD Development Centre, shared findings of the Latin American Economic Outlook 2009 report. The presentations were followed by a round-table discussion with comments from David Recondo, Research associate in Sciences-Po Paris and Vice-president of the Political Observatory of Latin America and the Caribbean (OPALC), and Carlos Winograd, Research Associate at the Paris School of Economics (PSE).
