The GOVNET publication Governance, Taxation and Accountability: Issues and Practice, encourages donors to take more proactive steps to support revenue-raising activities in partner countries as a way of strengthening their capacity. The publication offers guidance on what partner countries and donors can do to construct tax systems conducive to better governance and accountability.

Joint Statement on a new Tax and Development Programme (2010)

The joint meeting on tax and development between the Committee on Fiscal Affairs (CFA) and the Development Assistance Committee (DAC), on 27 January 2010 brought together the tax and development communities for the first time. It was decided to set-up a Task Force on Tax and Development to develop clear and effective mechanisms to make progress in the field of tax and development.
