Please take the following criteria into account for the particular unit of the revision for which you are providing an input document:

Provide a statement of why modification to the current SHA Manual and/or the Producer Guide is necessary. The statement should include the particular parts of the methodology/concepts which require amendment.

Provide an outline (an annotated list is acceptable) of your proposed solution to the problems with the current methodology/concepts. Include detail of the way in which your proposal differs from the current SHA Manual and/or the Producer Guide.

Provide some detail on the methodological developments required to change from the current methodology to your proposed methodology, if relevant.

Ensure that your proposals for changes in concepts and methodology consider measurability (availability of data and feasibility of regular data collection, backward compatibility).

Assess your proposal with respect to the feasibility of comparability of data across countries in global terms, and comparability of data across a group of countries (e.g. across OECD, or across low income countries).

Examine the relationship of your proposal to other statistical systems, in particular to SNA.

The documents should be clear, not only for health accounts experts, but experts in health policy and related areas. The language should be plain and where necessary should provide an annex explaining technical terms and complex concepts.

Particular attention should be paid to country cases supporting or opposing the study, or suggesting possible new approaches to the question.

Please provide a 200 word maximum summary of the objectives and main conclusions of your document
Also, please note that there is no specified word length or required formatting for an input document. While we would prefer to receive documents in English, we also welcome input documents in one of the other official languages of the WHO.
