Education databases

  • The Database for Research on International Education which encompasses Australian and international research and, where possible, includes links to the full text of catalogued research. It also includes links to over forty relevant websites, other useful databases and a range of international education journals and publishers.
  • The Education Resources Information Center (ERIC) sponsored by the Institute of Education Sciences (IES) of the U.S. Department of Education, produces an extensive worldwide database of journal and non-journal education literature.
  • Educationalists.co.uk is a UK based education contact database dedicated to inclusive and innovative aproaches to education development.
  • EdNA Online is an Australian educational database network of education resources, events and headlines.
  • The Usable Knowledge of the Harvard Graduate School of Education is designed to connect reseach, policy, and practice.
  • The World Education Database is a resource designed to enable institutions in education to disseminate ideas, projects, donations, research and requests to their peers.  There are databases for Ministries of Education, Education Portals and school lists.
  • The World Higher Education Database includes information on higher education systems of some 180 countries and territories worldwide.

  • The Canadian Education Association is a national charitable organisation, founded in 1891, which is committed to improving education through research and dialogue.
  • The Centre for the Future of Teaching and Learning based in California US, is a public, not-for-profit organization dedicated to strengthening teacher development policy and practice.
  • DCERN Education which presents peer reviewed materials for policy makers.
  • Education International is a Global Union Federation, representing education workers in every corner of the globe, and unites all teachers and education workers no matter where they are.
  • Europa, activities of the European Union in education, training and youth
  • The Global Gateway the gateway to educational partnerships between schools and colleges across the world
  • A portal commissioned by the UK Department for International Development (DFID) on Information & Communication for Development (ICD).  This portal considers five key sectors (one of which is education) and suggests ways in which incorporating good communication practice can enhance the delivery of development outcomes.
  • The International Association of Universities (IAU), which brings together universities, institutions of higher education and national and regional associations of universities around the world, and aims to promote debate, reflection and action on key issues in the field of higher education.
  • Korea education and research information service (KERIS), their mission is to research on e-Learning and develop information related to education and research
  • The LEAD Project which aims at changing face-to-face interactions within school settings and takes into account the social, cognitive, developmental processes that make a difference during this form of technology-enhanced learning.
  • Megaskills Education Center helps build success for children, parents and teachers through books, trainings,conference presentations, and partnerships with schools and communities nationally and internationally.
  • Phi Delta Kappa is an international association for professional educators
