Consultations with Civil Society

OECD Forum 2004

Greater interchange between governments and citizens will be a key to achieving the good policies we need. This is the spirit of the OECD Forum, of which the fifth edition will be taking place on 12-13 May in conjunction with the Ministerial. The OECD Forum is an international public conference offering business and labour leaders, civil society personalities, government ministers and leaders of international organisations the opportunity to discuss together the key issues of the 21st century.

The Forum is unique because participants have the opportunity to make direct input into and help shape the outcome of the OECD Ministerial Meeting. Mexico's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Luis Ernesto Derbez, will report to OECD Ministers on the main messages from the Forum discussions.

Summaries and a synthesis of the Forum sessions will be posted on the Forum Web site.

BIAC and TUAC Consultations

Each year the Ministerial Meeting begins with consultations with the Trade Union Advisory Committee to the OECD (TUAC) and the Business and Industry Advisory Committee to the OECD (BIAC).
