The 19th OECD Global Forum on Public Debt Management and Emerging Government Securities Markets will be held on 25-26 November 2009 at the OECD Conference Centre in Paris, France.

Topics for discussion include:

  • the impact of the global financial crisis on funding needs and borrowing strategies in different regions
  • new policy challenges for Asian debt managers
  • urgent policy changes in the new borrowing landscape

This annual forum is held under the aegis of the OECD Working Party on Debt Management and the Multilateral Public Debt Management Network;  organised in co-operation with the Asian Development Bank and the OECD-Italian Treasury Network for Public Debt Management in Emerging Markets; and sponsored by the Japanese Government. It brings together debt managers from all over the world to discuss viewpoints and experiences relating to public debt management.
