Promoting Pro-Poor Growth: Policy Statement (2006)

POVNET has prepared guidance to donors on promoting pro-poor growth. The policy statement is developed in the attached document in Chinese. POVNET has produced reports on promoting the contribution of private sector development, agriculture and infrastructure to pro-poor growth.

Innovative financing perspectives in the new global economic outlook

According to Mr. Gurría, the number working poor living with less than 2 dollars a day can increase by more than 100 million and the number of hungry people in the world can increase by another 104 million by the end of the year, making urgent the issue of the financing for development.
