Are aid donors keeping their promises?

What: OECD has just reviewed the 2010 aid budgets of the world’s major donors - member countries of the OECD Development Assistance Committee (DAC). Based on the review, OECD estimates that most countries will keep the aid promises they made at the Gleneagles and Milennium+5 Summits but that some large donors will fall far short.

Who: OECD Secretary-General Angel Gurría will outline OECD’s forecast for overall 2010 Official Development Assistance. He will also compare the aid commitments individual donors made five years ago against the ODA they will actually disburse this year.
