Department background

The Swedish Agency for Development Evaluation – SADEV – is a government-funded institute that carries out and disseminates expert analyses and evaluations of international development cooperation.
SADEV's overarching objective is to contribute to increased efficiency in Swedish development cooperation. In addition, SADEV aims at supplying appropriate, timely and comprehensible analyses on the organization, direction, volume, composition and impact of international development cooperation to specific target groups, including the general public. SADEV also aims at furthering partner countries’ capacity to carry out analyses and evaluations within the field of development and development assistance.

SADEV was established 1st January, 2006. The Agency is located to Karlstad, Sweden.
