This year the OECD Development Centre celebrates its 50th Anniversary. To commemorate this special occasion, the Centre will bring together a broad range of high level representatives from academia, partner institutions and OECD and non-OECD governments.
The OECD Development Centre is co-organising, with the Ministry for Foreign Affairs of Finland, a panel discussion on "Empowering women through the transformation of discriminatory social institutions" at the 56th session of the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York.

This paper studies technological upgrades in China and India, which export products associated with productivity levels higher than their income level. China is the world's largest exporter of high-tech products. India has been more successful in business and IT services exports.
