Thursday 5 December 2013
On 5 December 2013, the OECD Development Centre organised a seminar on migration and development with Professor Paul Collier.
Professor Paul Collier is the Director of the Centre for the Study of African Economies at the University of Oxford. He will present his recently published book Exodus: How Migration is Changing Our World.
Mr. Dilip Ratha, Manager of the World Bank’s Migration and Remittances Unit and Head of the Global Knowledge Partnership on Migration and Development (KNOMAD), served as a discussant during the seminar, which was moderated by Mr. Mario Pezzini, Director of the OECD Development Centre.
The presentation by Professor Collier and the discussion by Mr. Ratha was followed by an interactive seminar, which allowed the audience to engage in a substantive discussion about the migration-development nexus and its implications for policy makers.
