The Experts' Meeting on "Emerging Economic Partners in Africa" brought together a number of experts to discuss how best to focus the thematic chapter of the African Economic Outlook (AEO) 2011, which will explore the new opportunities and challenges faced by Africa following the emergence of new economic partners on the continent.

The meeting, that took place on 11th October in Paris, set in motion the preparation of the AEO's thematic chapter and received input from international experts, from both the private and public sectors. Organisations such as the OECD, the African Development Bank, UNDP, UE, LEDNA or the Import-Export Bank of China were represented.
