Estelle Loiseau is the Programme Assistant of the Social Cohesion Unit and the Wikigender Community Manager. In this position she supports the work of the unit in the areas of gender equality, migration and employment and is responsible for the organisation of workshops and other events. She also manages the team's website and newsletters. Estelle also works on Wikigender, an online platform to share and exchange information on gender equality. She supervises the development of the website and is responsible for its promotion and contacting interested partners.
Prior to joining the Development Centre in April 2008, Estelle was working in the Competition Division of the OECD. Previously, Estelle has gained experience from the United Nations Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights, supporting various activities of two UN Voluntary Trust Funds; she also gained field experience while working with a local NGO in Cambodia on projects related to the migration of women and human trafficking, especially concerning women and children. Estelle completed her graduate studies in Spanish Language, Literature and Civilisation at the Sorbonne in Paris. She also holds a Master’s degree in International Relations from the University of Manchester and a Post-Graduate Certificate in Education from Hope University in Liverpool.
