The diversification indicator measures the extent to which exports are diversified. It is constructed as the inverse of a Herfindal index, using desegregated exports at 4 digits. A higher index indicates more export diversification.
The African Economic Outlook, a joint project of the African Development Bank and the OECD Development Centre, is an annual review of the recent economic situation and the likely short-term evolution of selected African countries.
